Miami's Top Wedding Venues
Our CEO and founder, Christian Boehm, went on a 6-month journey to personally find, interview, and vet the very best local resources for our Jaxson Maximus grooms. He had a goal to find the best wedding venues, event planners, photographers, and wedding entertainment in southern Florida. We hope you find these resources for Miami’s best wedding photographers helpful as you start your journey for your special day.
Constructed over a decade from 1910-1922, the summer home of Charles Deering founder of International Harvester is something you have to see even if you choose a different venue for your wedding ceremony. It is simply jaw-dropping beautiful and rich with architecture, lush sub-tropical gardens and spectacular views inside and out on every side (see a 360-degree view of the estate here). Our Jaxson Maximus’ grooms will feel at home at this luxury wedding venue experience.

The Deering Estate
“The oldest building in the western hemisphere”. ™
Originally built in the early 12th century (AD 1133) in Sacramenia, Spain, the cloisters were part of a Cistercian monastery for nearly 700 years. In 1925, the Cloisters were dismantled and shipped to the United States by William Randolph Hearst. In 1953, Time magazine called the reassembly of the 35,000 stones the “greatest jigsaw puzzle in history.” Some of the stones weigh a ton and a half.
Today, the Ancient Spanish Monastery houses an active and growing parish church in the Episcopal Diocese of Southeast Florida. The Monastery is also a popular site for weddings, quinces, and other special events. Masses are held in English and Spanish on Sundays and throughout the week. The monastery gardens and cloisters have been featured in many music videos, popular television shows, and feature films.
Tours are available in English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French, Kreyol, Russian, Korean, Polish, and German.

Glenn Curtiss, the father of aviation and founder of Curtiss-Wright, had by any measure a massive amount of accomplishments in his life. Some of the most notable include setting the world landspeed record on a motorcycle he built, founding The Curtiss Airplane company, which became the largest manufacturer of airplanes during World War I and being inducted into the Inventors Hall of Fame. His Pueblo Style mansion built-in 1925 sits to the North of The Miami International Airport, which was built on land he donated. The mansion offers a unique wedding experience with distinctive architectural details, a shady tropical grove for outdoor ceremonies, and a new stone courtyard with an original stone bridge that was Glenn Curtiss’ bridge to his private pool.

Located in Coral Gables, The Club of Knights offers you a simplistic but highly stylish and interactive venue option. After touring the venue, I was impressed with the simplicity and detail of the three spaces that you and your guests would use for your special day.
The large outdoor garden space offers a dynamic Banyan tree with waterfall backdrop and fantastic bistro lighting that is great for your ceremony or perhaps a modish reception after a local church ceremony. The two indoor spaces deliver in every aspect. The spacious lounge area has a beautiful wrap around granite bar highlighted by modern glass mahogany doors.
I appreciated this space as I viewed it from an attendees perspective and felt like it was a great space to escape, converse and catch up with friends and family while all the fun was going on in the ballroom as your evening progressed. If you love to dance, the ballroom has one of the best lighting shows I’ve seen in Southern Florida.

Built in 1924 as a pivotal component to the city founder George Merrick’s “Mediterranean Riviera,” this historic site has over 40,000 square feet of event space. It features coral stone waterfalls, stunning crystal chandeliers, spectacular black marble foyers, rich Brazilian Cherry hardwood floors, ornate Italian marble columns, and cornice molding.
The venue can host events from 1000 to 100 guests given the efficient and effective way the venue’s space has been designed featuring its main ballroom but highlighting it’s unique satellite spaces with their own distinctive experiences. Love the Atrium. You have to see it for yourself!
An interesting fact about this venue that I discovered upon my visit is that even though it overlooks the Granada Golf Club, the Coral Gables Country Club is not an actual country club but a historical site who has retained the name “The Coral Gables Country Club.” The venue opened officially as an event space in 2010 to do events only all year round.
